Wave Race

A new Wave Race title may be in production. Speaking to Fandom at the 14th British Academy Games Awards held last week, Nintendo developer and Wave Race producer Shinya Takahashi teased a new entry.

“You may see that game again,” Takahashi said regarding Wave Race. “We have been trying to make many games, so that may be one of them… And I personally love Wave Race.”

Wave Race is a watercraft racing game series by Nintendo that debuted on Game Boy in 1992. A Nintendo 64 sequel called Wave Race 64 launched in 1996, followed by a GameCube sequel called Wave Race: Blue Storm in 2001.
