Shovel Knight sales have surpassed two million copies, developer Yacht Club Games announced.
The game sold one million copies 18 months after its original debut, and finally reached two million copies 26 months later—at the end of February 2018.
Here is a breakdown of those two million sales by platform:
- Windows – 24.4%: Around 70,000 units sold during launch month
- 3DS – 23.9%
- Switch – 17.6%: Around 370,000 total units sold, with around 110,000 units sold during the launch month and faster sales than any other platform
- Wii U – 14.3%
- PlayStation 4 – 9.1%
- Xbox One, SIEE Cross-Buy, PS Vita, Mac, and Others – 10.7%

Shovel Knight first launched for PC, 3DS, and Wii U in June 2014, followed by Mac in September 2014, Linux in October 2014, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and Xbox One in April 2015, Amazon Fire TV in October 2015, and Switch in March 2017.
