“Next door [to Mafia III developer Hangar 13], a small group of people were working on a project code-named Parkside, quietly recruiting from across the video game industry for a game so secret, they wouldn’t even tell their colleagues at Hangar 13 about it,” Schreier wrote. “Word got out, though, that it was in fact a new game in one of the most interesting shooter franchises of the past decade: BioShock.”
The new BioShock will reportedly use Unreal Engine 4.
The last new entry in the BioShock series was BioShock Infinite for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in March 2013. A collection including BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in March 2016.
