Nobunaga’s Ambition series tops 10 million shipments

First entry launched 35 years ago today.

The Nobunaga’s Ambition series has shipped more than 10 million copies worldwide, publisher Koei Tecmo announced.

The first entry in the history simulation game series launched on March 30, 1983—35 years ago today.

In a message to fans, Nobunaga’s Ambition series general producer Yoichi Erikawa, known professionally as Kou Shibusawa, said that Koei Tecmo will continue to develop titles with new ways to play.

The latest entry in the series, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi, launched for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC in Japan in November 2017, for iOS in January 2018, and is due out for Android in 2018.
