
The Switch version of Dragon Quest Builders sold 28,430 copies during its first week of release in Japan, the latest Media Create sales figures reveal.
To compare, the PS Vita version opened at 178,016 sales, the PlayStation 4 version at 141,369 sales, and the PlayStation 3 version at 53,154 sales when the game initially launched in January 2016.
Also new this week, Rainbow Six Siege Advanced Edition for PlayStation 4 opened at 8,042 sales, and Doraemon: Nobita’s Treasure Island opened at 4,948 sales.
The best selling game of the week was still Monster Hunter: World for PlayStation 4, which moved another 38,617 units and is nearing the two million retail unit sales milestone.
On the hardware side, Switch sold 45,083 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 26,569 units, and the 3DS family sold 11,340 units.
