Monster Hunter: World sold an estimated 652,614 digital copies in its first three days in Japan
Latest Monster Hunter seemingly broke two million in first three days. While it has been three weeks since the launch of Monster Hunter: World, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has a report on digital sales numbers for the game’s first three days of release in Japan. The magazine reports that Monster Hunter: World sold an estimated 652,614 digital copies from January 26 to 28.
Combined with previously reported retail sales of 1.35 million copies, it would seem that Monster Hunter: World sold more than two million physical and digital units in its first three days of release in Japan.
Monster Hunter: World is available now worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In Japan, it is only available for PlayStation 4. A PC version is due out this fall.
