Puyo Puyo news set for Puyo Puyo Anniversary TV Show 2018 broadcast on February 4

Sega will announce news regarding the Puyo Puyo series, as well as event information and more during a “Puyo Puyo Anniversary TV Show 2018″ broadcast on February 4 at 20:00 JST, the company announced. You will be able to watch it live on YouTube, Niconico, Fresh, and Periscope.

The blog post for the event reads: “During the broadcast, we will introduce new information on [smartphone game] Puyo Puyo Quest! Of course, we will also announce Puyo Puyo series news, so please look forward to it.”

The descriptions on the live stream pages tease: “There will be lots of pleasant news regarding the Puyo Puyo series. Please be sure to watch this must-see program for Puyo Puyo fans.”

Featured presenters include MC Hisayoshi Suganuma, guests Mie Sonozaki (Arle Nadja, Klug, etc. voice actress), Kaoru Sakura (Witch and Sylph voice actress), and Honoka Inoue (Ally and Fei voice actress), and Sega staffers Mizuki Hosoyamada (Puyo Puyo series general producer) and Skeleton Harigane (Puyo Puyo Quest administrative planner).

The latest entry in the Puyo Puyo series was action puzzle RPG Puyo Puyo Chronicle for 3DS in 2016. Before that was Puyo Puyo Tetris for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and 3DS—which was ported to Switch in 2017. Outside Japan, Puyo Puyo Tetris was only released for PlayStation 4 and Switch.
