Kirby: Star Allies launches March 16

New abilities announced.

Kirby: Star Allies

Kirby: Star Allies will launch for Switch in North America, Europe, and Japan on March 16, Nintendo announced.

In addition to the release date, Nintendo announced a new “Artist” ability that lets Kirby unleash his creativity, as well as a new “Spider” ability that lets him ensnare enemies in webs. Kirby can also hurl new friend hearts at enemies to win them over and add them to his party. A multiplayer mode will enable up to four friends to team up and combine Kirby’s unique abilities with ally abilities for powerful new Friend Abilities. Additional accessories are required for multiplayer mode and are sold separately.

(Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this post stated a demo for Kirby: Star Allies was available on the Nintendo eShop. That information was incorrect. We confused Kirby: Star Allies with Kirby: Battle Royale.)
