Pocket has announced the tentatively titled Hifumi Katou-Supervised Hifumin’s Shogi Dojo for Switch. The shogi game is planned for both a physical and digital release in Japan. A release date was not announced.
Hifumi Katou-Supervised Hifumin’s Shogi Dojo is being developed to teach players the basic rules of shogi, beginner strategies, and the like while playing and becoming familiar with the board game. Retired Japanese professional shogi player Hifumi Katou is supervising the title, and his personally created “123 New Shogi Problems” will also be included.
Prior to the release of Hifumi Katou-Supervised Hifumin’s Shogi Dojo, a free runner game called Hifumin Run Susume! Bougin Icchokusen will be released for iOS and Android. It sees Hifumi running through a shogi world, and will also provide news such as development updates and the official release date for the Switch title.
