Metal Max Xeno will launch for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on April 19, 2018 in Japan for 6,980 yen (7,538 yen with tax) at retail and 6,480 yen (6,998 yen with tax) via download, Kadokawa Games announced.
Kadokawa Games also revealed the game’s final box art, and detailed its bonus downloadable content, Limited and Premium editions, and new characters Dylan and Maria.

■ Retail First-Print / Digital Pre-Order Bonus
Users who purchase the physical edition / standard first-print bonus version or the digital edition / standard pre-order version will receive the “Underground Shotgun” human weapon (as opposed to a tank weapon), which will be a big help in battles at the beginning of the game. The Underground Shotgun is valuable ranged weapon that is hard to come by and can attack enemies in a circular sector. It is convenient in battles against several monsters, and since it fures small bullets acorss a wide range, it is mostly never intercepted.
*The Underground Shotgun downloadable content is also included with the Limited and Premium editions of Metal Max Xeno.

For 10,000 yen (10,800 yen with tax), the Limited Edition of Metal Max Xeno includes:
Limited Edition-Exclusive Metal Max 25th Anniversary Soundtrack CD
A special soundtrack with more than 50 songs from the Metal Max series’ famous music to new songs divided by themes of “birth,” “regeneration,” and “rebirth.” In the Limited Edition, it will be included as a set of three CDs, while in the Premium Edition, it will be included as digital content. Enjoy the latest arrangements by Satoshi Kadokura, the composer who works on all of the music.
Limited Edition-Exclusive Bonus Book, “The History of Destruction and Creation”
A bonus book featuring information that can only be seen here, from materials the the data of Metal Max Xeno. Additionally, secret materials from the first Metal Max, as well as the cancelled Metal Max: Wild Eyes for Dreamcast, are also included. Furthermore, a Metal Max Xeno prequel story written by original author Hiroshi Miyaoka is also included in this 128-page book.
Metal Max 25th Anniversary Commemoration Downloadable Content: Tank Engine “Old Friend” (also in the Premium Edition)
A reissue of the classic tank engine with a hidden turbo assist special feature. If equipped as a sub-engine to a tank that can be eequipped with double engines, it can increase the power of the main engine.
Selective Distribution-Exclusive Tank Weapon Downloadable Content: “Amaebi Vulcan”
Ranged tank weapons are difficult to obtain early on in the game. And since the “Amaebi Vulcan” is a weapon that possesses the fire attribute, it can be used to attack the weak points of enemy monsters.
*The Amaebi Vulcan downloadable content is also included with purchases of the standard edition at Amazon and Ebten.

The valuable comrades that the protagonist meets on his journey seeking the survivors of mankind and revenge against the machines will gather at the Iron Base for various reasons, and become his strength. This time, we will meet two battle-specialized comrades from among those survivors, who cooperating with will further accelerate the story.

The boss of a gang of thieves who once caused trouble in the outskirts of the Iron Base. When he was fighting to avenge his underlings, who were killed by SoNs, the protagonist and company saved him, but the Iron Base decides to consider expelling him for his violent behavior.
—Since he is the boss of a gang of thieves, you can say Dylan specializes in combat.
—For what reaon does Dylan point his gun at the protagonist, who should be his ally…?
—In order to avenge his allies, Dylan pilots a tank and battles.
Maria (voiced by Chiaki Takahashi)
An immortal female soldier.
- Age: 29
- Race: Human
A female soldier born in a city a short distance away from the Iron Base. Although she was on a training journey, she returned home with her fellow soldiers after learning her hometown was in crisis, but her comrades were annihilated. Now only one, she has continued to fight on her own.
—Maria continues to defend the place her comrades protected with their lives.
—With her comrades in mind and promise close to her heart, she chooses to fight alongside the protagonist.
—As a result of her training, Maria is skilled in the handling of tanks.
