The PS Vita version of 2064: Read Only Memories, which was announced as cancelled back in October, is no longer cancelled and available now via the PlayStation Store for $19.99. It is cross-buy, meaning a single purchase will unlock the game on both PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, and users who already on it on PlayStation 4 will get the PS Vita version for free.
Alongside the release of the PS Vita version comes a new update featuring newly voiced scenes, as well as voice work by video comedian and voice actor SungWon Cho.
Here is a brief overview of the game, via developer MidBoss:
Through retro-futuristic pixel art, 2064: Read Only Memories presents a future world where virtually-intelligent machines and genetically-modified humans walk among us. While some embrace this exciting new world of technology and genetics, others are afraid that the human race is losing itself. This fear has begun to manifest as prejudice, vandalism, and even violence.
Players take on the role of a struggling journalist befriended by a lost robot named Turing, the first in what could become a new generation of genuinely-sapient machines. This mismatched duo must navigate a vividly-rendered future San Francisco, investigating the disappearance of Turing’s creator and enlisting the help of a diverse cast of fascinating characters.
