Cave project ‘3jus’ officially announced as Sangoku Justice
Due out in Japan in early spring 2018.Following weeks of teaser website updates, Cave has official announced its new project code-named “3jus” to be Sangoku Justice, a “spring war dramatic battle game” due out digitally for unannounced platform(s) in Japan in early spring 2018.
Update 1:15 a.m.: Famitsu App, a branch of Famitsu’s website that specializes in smartphone game, reported on this announcement. That said, it is likely this will turn out to be a smartphone game.
The game’s key staff members include:
- World Supervision and Scenario – Yuri Shibamura (Gunparade March, Neon Genesis Evangelion 2, Marginal Operation series, Touken Ranbu, etc.)
- Art Director – Junya Inoue (Deathsmiles series, Otogi Matsuri, BTOOOM!, La Vie en Doll, etc.)
- General Manager – Tsuneki Ikeda (DoDonPachi series, Mushihimesama series, Deathsmiles series, Gothic wa Mahou Otome, etc.)
Here’s an introduction to the story:
2038. Japan is trying to restore the glory it lost lifting the ban on life science by mass producing fine citizens. The ban was lifted due to the declining birth rate and population. Neighboring countries strongly opposed this, and in support of anti-government forces, a civil war began in Japan.
2040. In a state where both sides are exhausted and there is no clear future ahead, an international crime organization emerges as a new power.
A government organization that touts “Strong Japan,” an anti-government force that opposes it, and an international crime group that slips into the chaos. These three powers bog the battle down even further, and the civil war with no clear future continues in Japan.
In a world where human beings are infinitely created, the front lines are a deadlock, and there is no one to mourn death any longer.
The three powers will plunge forward to a Japan of tomorrow that does not exist.
If you missed it, we introduced each power in the week’s leading up to Sangoku Justice‘s announcement. Read about them here: Kasumigaseki, Yaoyorozu, and Dark Sisters. The three powers make up a “Trilateral Japan” divided by freedom, control, and greed.
