Super Mario Run downloads top 200 million
90 percent of downloads from overseas, 10 percent from Japan.
Total downloads for Super Mario Run have reached the 200 million mark, Nintendo announced during its six months financial results briefing for the fiscal year ending March 2018.
More than 90 percent of those downloads (approx. 180 million) come from overseas, while less than 10 percent (approx. 20 million) come from Japan.
Nintendo noted that it has yet to reach an “acceptable profit point,” but has “learned a lot in terms of game development and deployment that we want to take advantage of moving forward.”
Super Mario Run first launched for iOS devices in December 2016, followed by Android devices in March.
