Following three videos and gameplay flow details last week, Marvelous has released three more action-focused gameplay videos of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal, as well as information about the game’s action elements.

Combos
When you attack and land hits on an enemy more than twice in a row, a “combo” attack will begin. You can keep up your combo by continuing to land each attack without leaving an opening in between. Since the amount of experience points you gain increases the higher the amount of combos, try to connect as many combos together as possible.
Aerial Raves
By landing a specific attack and blowing back the enemy as if they are floating in the air, you can pursue them to unleash a continuous aerial attack called an “Aerial Rave.” By using an Aerial Rave and continuously unleashing attacks on the enemy, you can gain the upper hand even in battles against difficult enemies with high strength and defense.
Escape Techniques and Limit Break
You will often be faced against a large amount of shinobi at once. Make use of various actions to overcome the enemy’s encirclement.
Shinobi Transformation
Through “Shinobi Transformation,” your costume will change into shinobi wear, and your attack power and defense power will increase. Additionally, the special move “Secret Ninja Art” will become available for use. A Shinobi Transformation can be enabled by consuming the “Ninja Arts Gauge,” which is built up by attacking enemies.
Secret Ninja Arts
“Secret Ninja Arts” are special moves enabled after a Shinobi Transformation. Since you are invincible during the period it is activated, you can use it to gain the upper hand in battle and cut your way through a sticky situation. Each character’s Secret Ninja Art includes a different scene.
Frantics
“Frantics” are special moves enabled after a Shinobi Transformation. During one, you will rip off your own costume until you are down to only your underwear. This significantly increases your attack power, but lowers your defense power. Use power and technique to attain victory.
Costume Destruction
As you fight in furious battles and accumulate damage, your costume will begin to tear. There are two stage to “Costume Destruction,” and when you receive your “Super Secret Ninja Art” in the second stage, the girl’s costume will be “completely destroyed,” including her underwear…
Each character will have a unique cut-in for total costume destruction.
Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal is due out for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 22, 2018. A limited edition will also be available.
