PS4 worldwide shipments top 67.5 million

Forecast for fiscal year 2017 increased by one million.

Worldwide total shipments for PlayStation 4 have reached 67.5 million, Sony announced in its financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2017.

A total of 4.2 million PlayStation 4s were shipped during the second quarter, which is up 0.3 million from the same period last year.

Sony also increased its forecast from 18 million to 19 million units shipped in fiscal year 2017, which began on April 1 and ends on March 31, 2018. This would see a total of 79 million PlayStation 4s shipped by March 2018.
