Media Create Sales: 9/25/17 – 10/1/17

PlayStation 4 sequel The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III sold 87,261 copies during its first week of release in Japan, the latest Media Create sales figures reveal.

To compare, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II launched in September 2014 to 86,283 sales on PS Vita and 65,498 sales on PlayStation 3 for a combined total of 151,781 units sold. The original The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, launched in September 2013 to 81,622 sales on PS Vita and 67,718 sales on PlayStation 3 for a combined total of 149,340 units sold.

Also new this week, Fire Emblem Warriors launched to 41,491 sales on Switch and 18,357 sales on 3DS for a combined total of 59,848 units sold. FIFA 18 sold 55,919 units on PlayStation 4 and 12,616 units on Switch for a total of 68,535 sales. And Genkai Tokki: Castle Panzers opened at 10,389 sales.

On the hardware front, Switch sales saw a surge this week, moving 73,231 units compared to an already impressive 43,426 units the previous week.
