Nintendo has announced that, due to “incredible demand” for the upcoming Super NES Classic Edition, the company plans to ship the product into 2018, rather than cease shipments at the end of 2017 as initially planned.
Additionally, more Super NES Classic Edition units will ship on launch day than NES Classic Edition units were shipped all last year, with subsequent shipments arriving in stores regularly.
Finally, Nintendo announced that in summer 2018, the NES Classic Edition will return to stores with new shipments. More information about the timing of the return will be announced at a later date.
The Super NES Classic Edition will launch on September 29 for $79.99. Find the full list of games included for the western edition here.
