■ What is a “Machiavellian Adventure”?
Demeritocracy or the Two Faces of Arias Ruth is an adventure game where players will not simply read text to proceed, they will also gather information, plan strategies from drafting to execution, and trifle with people and organizations to attain their objectives.
“Arias Ruth” is a fake name. He has the special ability to control peoples’ consciousness and behavior—a secret he has kept since birth. He uses his intellect and abilities, and at times even his good looks, as weapons, and is planning on revenge against a powerful nation. He conducts himself as an honors student in public, but behind the scenes he is maneuvering as a Machiavellist who will do whatever it takes to achieve his goal.

His tactical abilities were discovered at a young age, and he is the youngest member in the council of wise men that make up the advisory committee under the direct control of the king. In that position, he happens to be an obstacle in Arias achieving his ambitions. While has a disinterested and passive personality, he wants the opportunity to put his strategies and tactics into play.

The setting of this game is a fictional world that resembles mediaeval Europe. The existence of lost technology has also been confirmed.
