First look at Penguin Wars remake for Switch

Famitsu has gone up with its first online preview of City Connection‘s newly announced Penguin Wars remake for Switch.

The fundamental gameplay of the 1985-released game remain the same, but various new elements have also been added. The gameplay sees the players toss a total of 10 balls at each other’s sides of the field in efforts to lower their opponent’s HP to zero. There are one-on-one and two-on-two modes, as well as special rules such as using bombs instead of balls. In addition to the “modern remake version” of the background music form the original release, tracks from artists active in the game music club scene both inside and outside of Japan are also being prepared.

Penguin Wars is due out for Switch in Japan this fall.
