Our World is Ended details World End Heaven, Selection of Soul system

Red Entertainment has updated the official website for its upcoming PS Vita visual novel Our World is Ended with new details on the game being made by the in-game development studio Judgement 7 and the “Selection of Soul” system.

■ World End Heaven

Judgement 7’s seventh title is a momentous occasion.

It is a new axis, new era, new dimension RPG that uses augmented reality through the “W.O.R.L.D. Program” coded by Sekai Owari… Or at least that’s what it’s planned to be. But currently nothing in particular has been set in stone outside of the title.

In the W.O.R.L.D. Program, there are amazing features such as textures that synthesize in real-time on actual landscapes and operation through voice commands, but at the present stage it has been used for Owari’s perverted hobbies, and how it can be used as means for a game is entirely undecided.

As the story progresses, the game will also be completed… maybe.

—Deciding the title first and thinking about the game’s content second is the Judgement 7 style.

—Even Natsumi and Asano, who are normally nagging, can’t hide their surprise at the program’s results.

—It seems like even for Iruka No. 2, who works as planner, motivation is enough…

■ S.O.S. (Selection of Soul) System

Triggered when protagonist Reiji Gozen’s emotions run high, and sees choices flow onto the screen. Since the choices will vanish to the outside the screen as time passes, a quick decision is necessary. However, you may plunge into an unexpected pitfall if in the end you don’t choose an option…

Depending on how high Reiji’s emotions run, the screen may be covered in alphabetical characters. While carefully looking through the options, a bold “Selection of Soul” is important.

—At certain points in the story, the “Selection of Soul” text will appear on screen, and the S.O.S. System will activate.

—Choices will flow onto the screen as time passes. Take a breath and understand your options.

—There are also situations where the outcries of the soul overflow. Grasp the Selection of Soul from a screen covered in choices.

Our World is Ended is due out for PS Vita in Japan this fall.
