PlayStation VR sales top one million, Horizon Zero Dawn sales top 3.4 million

Sony Interactive Entertainment has shared the latest numbers on PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

• Worldwide sales for PlayStation 4 are “almost” 60 million. Sony announced 60 million total shipments in its fiscal year ended March 31, 2017 report.
• PlayStation VR has sold one million PlayStation VR headsets since its launch in October 2016. It sold 915,000 units in its first three months, meaning at least an additional 85,000 units have been sold since February 19.
• One in five PlayStation 4 consoles sold since November have been a PlayStation 4 Pro.
• Horizon Zero Dawn has sold 3.4 million copies since its launch on February 28. It sold 2.6 million in its first two weeks, meaning an additional 800,000 units were sold since March 16.

Sony also announced that it will run a “Days of Play” promotion from June 9 to 17, during which it promises big sales on PlayStation software and hardware. It will use the promotion to launch a limited edition gold-colored PlayStation 4 console, which will sell for $249.
