Megadimension Neptunia VIIR ‘Battle’ and ‘Everyday VR Event’ gameplay

First footage from the upcoming remake.

Megadimension Neptunia VIIR

Dengeki Online has gone up with the first two gameplay videos of Megadimension Neptunia VIIR, showcasing the battle system and “Everyday VR Event” gameplay.

The battle system features a completely new interface from Megadimension Neptunia VII. Attacks and special moves exist as “Skills,” and “Special Skills,” “Form Skills,” “Item Skills,” and “Partner Skills” are assigned to the d-pad. The Circle button is used for a “Combo Skill” and the Square button for a “Defense Skill.” The video provides a look at Defense Skills, in addition to Combo Skills and Special Skills.

In Megadimension Neptunia VIIR, there are both “Scenario VR Events” and “Everyday VR Events.” Scenario VR Events occur as you progress through the story. Everyday VR Events depict the everyday lives of the four goddesses (Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert) as they spend their days in a world of harmony.

Megadimension Neptunia VIIR is due out for PlayStation 4 in Japan on August 24.
