Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception

Atlus has released a new trailer for Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception focused on main character Haku.

Here’s an overview of Haku, via Atlus:

Haki is a mysterious amnesiac who has no idea how he woke up into a world populated with monstrous creatures and people with beastlike features. All he knows is that he’s been named Haku by a beautiful girl named Kuon, and that he’s stuck in this place for the long haul. Eventually, he gets dragged into a war between Uzurusha and the mighty Empire of Yamato, and must fight to defend the innocent civilians caught in the crossfire. He may not be the strongest fighter, but he’s a brilliant strategist who must use his mind against his enemies’ brawn. Oh, and he’s pretty deadly with a fan too.

Atluas also announced two downloadable content characters that will launch day and date with the game: the sword-wielding Tamaki and the spear-thrusting Sasara. They’ll each be available in two varieties:

  • Sasara Samurai Costume – $2.99
  • Sasara Swimsuit Costume – $2.99
  • Tamaki Samurai Costume – $2.99
  • Tamaki Swimsuit Costume – $2.99
  • Costume Set – $8.99

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception will launch for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on May 23 in the Americas and Europe.
