Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record

Aniplex has released the first full-length trailer for Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record, its September-announced Madoka Magica smartphone game.

The trailer for the magical girl RPG consists mainly of animated story segments, but provides a glimpse at how the game itself actually plays towards the very end.

Here’s an overview of the game’s story:

The setting is the developing city of Kamihama.
“Will you fight with me?”
The girls’ encounter will begin a new story.

Guided by a strange power, magical girls gather in this town.
It is a place where a magical girl can continue to be as they are.
The girls drew out new power from the witches and fought.

“What’s going on… in this town…”
Iroha Tamaki came to this town looking for her younger sister Ui, who disappeared.
Iroha, together with the magical girls, starts searching for clues.

Soon, magical girl Homura Akemi of Mitakihara arrives in Kamihama.

“If I understand the mystery of this town, I might be able to save Madoka…”

Another hope is born as magical girls from two cities cross.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record is due out for iOS and Android in Japan this spring.
