Japanese developer Over Fence announced Project Mekuru for Switch at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
The tile-flipping multiplayer game is developed in Unity and will be exclusive to Switch. “Mekuru” means “flipping” in Japanese. Over Fence showcased the game’s four-player battle mode on stages composed of tiled flooring and obstacles. Players controlled Miis and used a ground-pound move to smash into the floor and flip over nearby tiles to their colors, rather than the colors of the other players.
A release date was not announced.
Thanks, Nintendo World Report and IGN.
