NIS America has released the first part in a series of three Birthdays the Beginning gameplay and developer interview videos with creator Yasuhiro Wada.
In it, Wada discusses the theme of “Create.” Wada also reveals that the initial concept of Birthdays was a much larger one, but given that he couldn’t fit everything he wanted to in the game, he chose to name it Birthdays the Beginning to represent the beginning of something larger.
Birthdays the Beginning is due out for PlayStation 4 on January 19 in Japan, and for PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam on May 9 in North America and May 12 in Europe. Read more about the game here.
