This week’s Media Create sales are in, revealing an opening week of 1,742,008 sales for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.

Earlier this week, Famitsu numbers placed the two new Pokemon games at 1.9 million opening sales. Famitsu’s numbers, however, includes download cards, while Media Creates does not.

The release of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon pushed 3DS family hardware sales to 107,631 units this week.
