Square Enix has opened the official 30th anniversary portal website for the Final Fantasy series.

The first Final Fantasy game launched for Famicom in Japan on December 18, 1987. The series will celebrate its 30th birthday on December 18, 2017.

The website currently features a 30th anniversary trailer and title highlights of every numbered Final Fantasy game to date, including the November 29-due Final Fantasy XV.

As part of its 30th anniversary festivities, Square Enix is planning to run a Final Fantasy XIV-themed real escape game across several Zepp locations in Japan starting February 10, 2017.
