Battlefield 1 open beta begins August 31, Gamescom 2016 trailer

The Battlefield 1 open beta will begin on August 31 across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Electronic Arts and DICE announced.

Players who sign up as a Battlefield Insider and choose their platform before August 21 will be eligible to receive early access to the open beta.

The open beta will include the “Conquest” and “Rush” modes on the new “Sinai Desert” map, which includes a new controllable Armored Train behemoth, ridable horses and three new Elite Classes (Sentry, Flame Trooper, and Tank Hunter), and is playable with up to 64 players.

In addition to the open beta announcement, Electronic Arts released the official Gamescom 2016 trailer for Battlefield 1.

The World War I-set first-person shooter is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21.
