Nintendo‘s next game system, code-named NX, will be compatible Nintendo’s smartphone games, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
Nintendo currently has one smartphone app available, Miitomo, with plans to release Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing titles as well.
The newspaper outlet also corroborates a Eurogamer report yesterday that the platform would be a handheld-console hybrid.
When contacted by the Wall Street Journal, a Nintendo spokesman declined to comment on details of NX.
NX is due out worldwide in March 2017.
Thanks, NeoGAF.
