Adam Boyes joins Iron Galaxy Studios as CEO
Former Sony exec takes on Chicago studio.Adam Boyes, who left Sony Interactive Entertainment America earlier this month after four years as the head of developer relations and third-party publishing, has joined Iron Galaxy Studios as CEO.
Boyes will replace Iron Galaxy founder Dave Lang as the studio’s top executive, but Lang will continue to oversee all prototypes and business development. Chelsea Blasko, director of product development, will serve as chief product officer of the studio. Both Lang and Blask will continue to run the existing business, such as work-for-hire projects like Killer Instinct for Microsoft, and Boyes will add new business on top of that.
Boyes, on the other hand, will leverage his publisher relationships cultivated over the last several years to explore new opportunities for Iron Galaxy and maximize the studio’s revenue potential.
Iron Galaxy has two studios—one in Chicago and one in Oralando. Boyes will move to Chicago to start his new position at that headquarters on August 8.
