Japanese Sonic the Hedgehog 25th Anniversary Party set for June 25

Sonic party to be held at Tokyo Joypolis.

Sega will host a Sonic the Hedgehog 25th Anniversary Party at Tokyo Joypolis on June 25, the company announced.

This Japanese anniversary celebration is different from the previously announced celebration of the same name in San Diego on July 22.

The party will feature a main stage event at 14:00 JST, which will be live streamed on YouTube, Niconico, and AbemaFresh. Featured guests include producer Takashi Iizuka, designer Yuji Uekawa, sound director Jun Senoue, sound director Tomoya Ohtani, and director Harumasa Nakajima.

In addition to the stage event, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice for 3DS will be playable at the party. It’s due out on September 27.
