Bethesda Softworks has announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC remaster due out on October 28.
In addition to enhanced graphics, the remaster will also feature mod support. PC users who own the original game and all of its add-ons (or the Legendary Edition) on Steam will get a free upgrade when it launches.
The announcement comes as part of Bethesda Game Studios showcase, which also introduced some upcoming downloadable content for Fallout 4. Here’s the overview:
- “Contraptions Workshop” (due out next week) Elevators, armor packs, weapon packs, track kits, sorting machines, conveyor belts.
- “Vault-Tec Workshop” (due out in July) – Build your own vault and experiment on dwellers.
- “Nuka World Amusement Park” (due out in August)
