Criterion Games‘ extreme sports IP first announced at E3 2014 is no longer in development, Electronic Arts has confirmed.
“While they’ve moved on from the previous project they’ve spoken about and aren’t pursuing it, they are continuing to build new ideas and experiment with new IP for EA, in addition to continuing to collaborate with other EA studios,” an Electronic Arts representative told GameSpot.
Criterion is known to be currently working with DICE on the Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission game for PlayStation VR.
The cancelled game, which was without a title, was a first-person title that would have integrated ATVs, boats, helicopters, wing suits, parachutes, and more.
