Toukiden 2 introduces Touya and Manadzuru, new Oni

New tidbits from Weekly Famitsu.

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has two new character and two new Oni introductions for Toukiden 2.

New Characters

  • Touya (voiced by Takamasa Mogi) is the commanding officer in charge of the samurai unit. He gathers up outsiders while wandering about and created a powerful military force. He’s on bad terms with Yakumo. He uses a long sword in battle.
  • Manadzuru (voiced by Saori Goto) is the vice commander of the Touya-led samurai unit. She respects rules and is overly serious, and is known as the merciless vice commander after Shinsengumi vice commander Hijikata Toshizo. She uses a bow and arrow in battle.

New Oni

  • Daibatachi is a large, beast-type Oni. It has a huge tail with a sword-like growth from which its name derives.
  • Guhin is a medium-sized Oni. It is a wolf-like figure with a big mouth. It can create wind and thunder with its fan-like tail, making for powerful attacks.

Toukiden 2 is due out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Japan on July 28. A PS Vita demo and PlayStation 4 demo update are due out on May 24.
