Final Fantasy XIV and Yo-kai Watch collaboration announced

Yo-kai Watch in Final Fantasy XIV and vice-versa.

Square Enix and Level-5 announced a collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and Yo-kai Watch during today’s Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XXIX live stream.

On the Final Fantasy XIV side, the collaboration includes the appearance of 13 popular yo-kai from the Yo-kai Watch series as minions, yo-kai-themed weapons, an equippable yo-kai watch, and even a Whisper flying mount.

On the Yo-kai Watch side, the collaboration sees the appearance of two new yo-kai in Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi and Yo-kai Watch 3: Tempura. The two new yo-kai are Chocobonyan (Jibanyan riding a chocobo) and Mooglinyan.

In related news, Square Enix also announced Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.3 “Revenge of the Horde.” It will have new main scenario quests, new side quests including Anima weapon story quests and further Hildibrand adventures, Beast Tribe Quests involving Moogles and dragons, new dungeons including Sohr Khai and Hullbreaker Island (Hard), new trials, a new alliance raid dungeon, The Aquapolis dungeon, the Deep Dungeon, a new map for Frontlines, housing updates, new gear, and more.
