Gears of War 4 Game Informer screenshots

Executions, vault kicks, Juvies, Windflares, and churches.

Game Informer has published online a new set of Gears of War 4 screenshots.

The first screenshot showcases one of Gears of War 4‘s host of new, gory executions via the combat knife. The execution animation changes based on where your character is standing in relation to a dazed enemy.

The next screenshot shows the vault kick, a new feature that lets players slide over a piece of cover and kick an enemy in the face, stunning and leaving them open for execution.

Here we see a Juvie, one of the Swarm’s more deceptive units. They’re not too hard to handle on their own, but as a group they can take you down easily.

In Gears of War 4, Windflares are devastating storms that rage across the surface of the planet Sera. Their fierce winds fling objects across the environment, and players can use this to their advantage by shoting signs and barricates that hold cars and boulders in place to send them flying at enemy soldiers.
