Focus Home Interactive has shared first details and screenshots of its 2014-announced Call of Cthulhu game, due out in 2017 for consoles and PC.
First, the game has dropped its original developer Frogwares for Cynadie Studio, developer of Styx: Master of Shadows, the Blood Bowl series, and the upcoming Space Hulk: Deathwing.
Call of Cthulhu is developed on Unreal Engine 4 and described by Focus Home Interactive as an RPG-investigation game with psychological horror and stealth mechanics, set in a “deeply immersive” world. Players are on a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family ona backwater island, and will soon uncover a more disturbing truth as the Great Dreamer, Cthulhu, prepares its awakening.
