The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD trailer details Amiibo features
Compatible with Wolf Link and various Zelda Amiibo.
Nintendo of Germany has released a new video of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, detailing the game’s Amiibo functionality.
When you tap the Wolf Link Amiibo to the GamePad, it unlocks the “Cave of Shadows” dungeon, a brand new series of challenges where you’ll use Wolf Link and Midna’s abilities to wipe out waves of enemies. After clearing the cave, you can save a record of your remaining hearts to the Wolf Link Amiibo and attempt to beat your score whenever you want. The Wolf Link Amiibo will also function with the new Legend of Zelda game for Wii U.
Other Amiibo are also compatible. The Link and Toon Link Amiibo will restore arrows. The Ganondorf Amiibo will up the difficulty and make Link take extra damage. And the Princess Zelda and Sheikk Amiibo restores hearts.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is due out for Wii U on March 4, 2016 in North America and Europe and March 10 in Japan.
