Plastic Studios announces Bound for PS4
New platformer in collaboration with SCE Santa Monica Studio.Plastic Studios, the team behind PlayStation 3 titles Linger in Shadows and Datura, in collaboration with SCE Santa Monica Studio, have announced Bound, a 3D platformer for PlayStation 4.
(Yes, this is the game Santa Monica teased earlier this week.)
“Bound is designed for people with the desire to concentrate on the narrative side of games and experience a mature story,” game director Michal Staniszewski said on the PlayStation Blog. “On the other side of the spectrum, Bound is also being prepared for hardcore gamers looking for the challenge of one big puzzle that can be only solved by a community of players working together.”
Plastic calls Bound both a game and a “notgame.” It’s up to the user to decide how they would like to play.
The game’s art style is based on Modern Art, influenced by art movements such as Suprematism, Concretism, Neoplasticism, or what Bauhaus.
The main character of Bound promises to have a “rich personality.” She is a ballerina. That said, the soundtrack is a blend of ballet and electroacoustic music performed by Oleg “Heinali” Shpudeiko.
Having spent more than a year on optimizations, Plastic Studios promises the game will run in “ultra-sharp anti-aliased 60 Hz in 1080p resolution.”
