Square Enix trademarks Shinra Game System, Sony trademarks PlayEnglish
The latest European trademarks.Square Enix has filed a trademark for “Shinra Game System” in Europe.
Shinra Technologies is a subsidiary of Square Enix focused on cloud gaming. The trademark might suggest Square Enix is readying a stationary device to support its upcoming cloud gaming services.
Additionally, Sony Computer Entertainment filed a trademark for “PlayEnglish.” PlayEnglish was a game released for PSP in Spain in 2010. Developed by Tonika Games, it had players investigating a mystery while learning English. Read more about it here. It’s worth noting that the new trademark is different from the 2009 trademark.
