Story

The year 203X. The gods’ war devastated and transformed near-future Tokyo into a demon capital. As the battle between Lucifer and Merkabahentered its final phase, the demon Krishna appeared. Spearheading the “Polytheistic Gods Alliance,” Krishna declared war on Lucifer, Merkabah, and the monotheistic gods. Mankind gets embroiled in a terrible new war. When a young boy is made a “god killer” by the power of the demon Daguza, what path will he choose?

Characters

  • Protagonist (voiced by Hiro Shimono) – A 15-year-old boy and apprentice in the demon fighting organization known as the “Outlaw Hunters.” He is attacked and killed by a demon one day, but is revived after signing a contract with a demon in the underworld.
  • Daguza (voiced by Shuichi Ikeda) – A demon who meets the protagonist in the underworld after he dies. In exchange for reviving the protagonist, he proposes a contract that turns him into a “god killer.”
  • Asahi (voiced by Tomoko Seike) – The protagonist’s childhood friend. She is 15 years old and belongs to the same Outlaw Hunters group he does. In order to be recognized as a full-fledged Outlaw Hunter by her father, she tackles everything with utmost effort.
  • Navarre (voiced by Shintaro Ohata) – A ghost. Before he died he was an 18 year-old man and Samurai of the country of East Mikado. Unable to rest in peace, he is condemned to wander the world after losing his life in an unfortunate way. When he meets the protagonist, he wastes no time in possessing him.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is due out for 3DS in Japan on February 10, 2016 for 6,480 yen.
