Sengoku Basara: Sanada Yukimura-Den trademarked in Japan

New Sengoku Basara series focused on Sanada Yukimura?

Sengoku Basara

Capcom has filed a trademark for “Sengoku Basara Sanada Yukimura-Den” (Sanada Yukimura Legend) in Japan.

Sanada Yukimura is a Japanese samurai that appears in the Sengoku Basara series. The trademark was filed on July 10 and made public on July 28.

Games Talk speculates it’s a new series of Sengoku Basara games. In 2016, Japanese TV network NHK will kick off its Sanada Maru TV drama, which the site suggests might somehow tie-in to the trademark—a game that puts the spotlight on Sanada Yukimura.

The latest entry in the series, Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi, launched for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan last Thursday, July 23.
