Driveclub: PlayStation Plus Edition launches tomorrow
Free edition finally launches tomorrow following delayed release. After a postponed launch, the Driveclub: PlayStation Plus Edition will launch for PlayStation 4 tomorow, June 25, Sony Computer Entertainment announced.
“We’ve spent a long time preparing for this launch after some difficult and unexpected set-backs,” Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said in a PlayStation Blog post. “To make absolutely certain that all players have the smoothest and most stable experience possible we are going to be duly cautious about how we release the game this time around.”
The PlayStation Plus Edition will be free to download for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Starting tomorrow, subscribers can download and begin playing the offline mode. Online access will also steadily roll out starting tomorrow.
“We have to take this precaution because Driveclub connectivity is demanding for a multiplayer game, with countless ever-growing social connections across clubs, challenges, multiplayer, and hundreds of thousands of dynamic leaderboards and activity feeds,” Yoshida explained.
Driveclub launched for PlayStation 4 last October.
