Call of Duty: Black Ops III was announced in April for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Today, Activision confirmed it will also release PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, developed in collaboration with Beenox and Mercenary Technology.
The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will feature the game’s full campaign, multiplayer, and zombies mode. However, there will be some changes, including two-player co-op for the single-player campaign instead of the four-player co-op of the current-gen versions. There are also other features built for current-gen that are not supported on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
While PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions are on the way, Activision notes that there is no version of the game planned for release on Wii U.
The multiplayer beta included with pre-orders for the game will only be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game.
