A sequel to the 1983 strategy RPG Bokosuka Wars is in development for PlayStation 4, the latest issue of Famitsu reveals.
In development at Pygmy Studio and due out in Japan later this year, the tentatively titled Bokosuka Wars 2 features game design by Rasho.
The basic systems of the sequel are the same as its predecessor, however specific systems are still unknown. The game will have semi-auto play performed via carrier pigeons, the effects of various terrains and units mutually intercede, and an “Environment Simulator” element is being added.
While the previous game depicted the war between the Suren Kingdom and Basamu Empire, Bokosuka Wars 2 will have powers outside those two countries.
Bokosuka Wars 2 will be at BitSummit 2015 from July 11 to 12.
