Here are the details:
Story
In “a certain era” on “a certain continent,” something trivial is happening…The construction of “Large-Scale Leisure Facilities” have demanded the eviction of villages. And when these demands are denied, the village and its residents are destroyed. The main character, a boy named Chup, once lived in “small happiness,” but lost it all. But he gets over his sadness and embarks on a journey of revenge… But he’s madly in love with the king’s daughter, Princess Melora. So in order to fulfill her selfish wishes, he gathers his friends to tackle the impossible.
Characters
- Chup (voiced by Megumi Han) – The wandering hero. He has a strong sense of justice, but also a darker side. He’s considerably egocentric and is known for speaking his mind as the protagonist. His family and village were destroyed, so he sets out on a journey of revenge and unprecedented battles.
- Mayone (voiced by Ayana Taketatsu) – An inelegant witch. Possessing a rough disposition, when something gets her riled up, she talks incredibly fast. She’s slim, but crazy strong—even more so than Pepperon.
- Pepperon (voiced by Kenji Sugimura) – A royal knight turned muscular warrior. He fell on hard times and was drinking at the tavern when he met Chup and found new hope in life. He tends to pull everyone along, but isn’t quite good enough to rely on.
- Gobsan (voiced by Tadashi Miyazawa) – Everyone calls him Gob-san, but his name is actually Gobson Ford. He insists he was changed into his current form by humans using magic, and joins Chup. He has the special power to shrink his body, although his face doesn’t change. When he sees a pretty lady, he gets excited and extends his head.
- Butako (voiced by Megumi Okada) – A female, pig-nosed dragon. Chup saves her life, so Butako likes Chap and blushes when she’s around him. Butako also acts as transportation for the group. If you make her sneeze, she’ll travel at super high-speed.
- Princess Melora (voiced by Ryoka Yuzuki) – King Osama’s daughter, the princess, and the girl Chup fell in love with at first sight. She has an edgy/risque cuteness. To Chup, she’s a pure maiden and though in reality she’s selfish with a bad personality all around, in Chip’s eyes, it’s all a part of her cuteness.
- King Osama (voiced by Yoshiyuki Kaneko) – The King. He is easygoing with his daughter Melora, and when she bugs him about something, he always relents.
Items Have “Brands”
Just like the real world, a number of different fashion brands are being developed for the items in The Snack World. You can choose to collect only your favorite brands, or you can collect a mixture of brands.
NFC Chip-based Toys
Takara Tomy will produce a series of “Jara” miniature key chains based on The Snack World. Every Jara is loaded with an NFC chip. Placing the item on the screen of a New 3DS when playing the 3DS game, for example, will give you the same item in the game. Jara toys will be sold in “TreJara Boxes.” The same items are carried on the waist by the franchise’s hero and transform into his weapons and shields.
