The high-definition remaster of Resident Evil has become the fastest selling digital title in Capcom history across North America and Europe, the company announced.

Resident Evil also broke the record for the biggest selling day one digital title on PlayStation Network.

The game debuted across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC late last month.

“It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have enjoyed this new release,” producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi said. “The team here at Capcom Japan have worked hard to bring the game to the latest generation of consoles and we are thrilled at this news on its performance.”
