Yokai Watch 2: Shinuchi remains atop post-holiday sales.

Japanese sales for the week between December 29 and January 4 are in.

There were no new releases this week, but Yokai Watch 2: Shinuchi continued to sell as if it were one. The 3DS title moved another 208,000 units. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire followed up with another 111,000. Both games are quickly approaching 2.5 million copies sold.

On the hardware side, most sales are down from last week, however, both PlayStation 4 and PS Vita have seen a significant boost. PS Vita sold nearly 57,000, a 15,000 increase from last week, and PlayStation 4 over 42,000, a 9,000 increase from last week. Overall 3DS hardware sales were 153,166.
