Kirby and the Rainbow Curse gameplay trailer, screenshots
Find treasure chests hidden throughout the game world.
Nintendo debuted a new trailer and set of screenshots for Kirby and the Rainbow Curse during its Nintendo Direct broadcast this morning.
Additionally, the company revealed that you’ll be able to find treasure chests hidden throughout the game containing bonuses like music and in-game figurines. Some treasure chests are apparently “really hard to find,” especially considering you have a limited amount of ink to draw Rainbow Ropes to move Kirby.
The figurines you collect can be viewed at various different angles in the Figurine Showcase.
Nintendo also detailed the game’s Amiibo features. One per day, you can tap the Kirby, King Dedede, or Meta Knight Amiibo to the Wii U GamePad to power up Kirby. Tapping the Kirby Amiibo will let you use his “Star Dash” ability whenever you want. The King Dedede Amiibo gives you a matching hat and six health stars. And the Meta Knight Amiibo gives you his hat and increases Kirby’s tap-dash speed.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is due out on February 20.
